says an article in the NYTimes yesterday discussing the potential fate of Bar Cars. Personally I thought new BC's were a done deal, already ordered....guess not
Guess I should know better than to believe anything I read in the times....

--------------------------------- Don't believe what you read.
Reporter Grynbaum interviewed me but conveniently ignored the facts so as not to hurt his story.
1) The old bar cars will not be retired when the new M8 cars arrive.
2) About 150 of the existing cars, recently rehabilitated, will continue in service... including the bar cars.
3) The Commuter Council has been reassured several times by CDOT that there will be an order of new M8 bar cars after the first priority is met... passenger cars!
Shame on the NY Times for fanning the flames with a factually inaccurate story!
